"Dear Uncle Harry, I work for a juvenile detention facility and
we recently had a severe problem with a detainee and lice. We
tried an over the counter brand of lice shampoo twice and the
prescription lice medication Lindane. After three treatments over
a three-week period this detainee still had lice so bad that the
nurse practitioner and I took tape and pulled them out of her
head. The nurse practitioner then told me someone had suggested
a lice treatment sold at the food co-op and we decided to try
it, as we were game for anything. (The detainee refused to let
us shave her head). I went to the co-op myself and after looking
at all the different brands ended up with Uncle Harry’s Lice Away.
We gave it a shot and the lice were actually dying before the
treatment was completed. The detainee told us that the lice were
falling of in the shower and the next day there were no lice to
be seen. I recommend this treatment for everyone especially as
it is non-toxic. I personally will never use anything at work
(or home if ever necessary) to treat lice other than Uncle Harry’s
Lice Away." |
