Thinning Hair

Hi, I’m Uncle Harry. For many years I have been trying to help people with little everyday problems that cause much anxiety such as tooth and gum problems, hair problems and skin problems. I want to share the information I have gathered over the years concerning hair loss.

From my experience, I have determined that most hair loss is due to using highly alkaline shampoos that alter the natural pH of the scalp. In fact, the same principle applies to the skin. The skin and scalp have a natural pH which is slightly acid. All soaps and most shampoos are alkaline, which is why they suds up so much and leave the hair squeaky clean. But the “squeaky clean” actually dissolves all the protective acid sebum that the hair follicles secrete to protect the hair and scalp. By frequently shampooing, one forces the sebaceous glands that are attached to the hair follicles to over secrete. For some time, one develops oily hair which requires one to continue frequent shampooing (perhaps everyday). This aggravates the problem and eventually the sebaceous glands give up and die and one has serious hair loss. The sebaceous glands can also go dormant for some time. The hair loss that results, however, may not be permanent. The glands can reactivate again and the follicle can grow hair.

I have developed a simple food and natural product based protocol to help reverse thinning hair problems. For a person whose hair is inordinately thinning, I suggest they stop using normal shampoos and reply on my “Soapless Shampoo.” It is made of natural herbs that come from India such as shikakai and aritha along with natural essential oils. One applies the liquid on the hair and lets it sit for five to ten minutes then rinses it off. It cleans as good as any shampoo but without suds and it does not alter the pH of the scalp. Next, I suggest the Hair and Scalp Elixir. Apply enough drops to slightly wet the hair and then comb it through the hair. It is a “leave on product” that protects the hair and scalp by regulating the pH. The first time you use this product it may sting your scalp. The reason is that it is fighting the alkalinity. The subsequent times you use it, you will not feel any stinging as your scalp pH will be normalized.

The Hair and Scalp Elixir can be used on days that you do not shampoo. In fact, my products are designed to reduce the frequency of shampooing. Simply apply drops of the scalp elixir and comb it through your hair and massage it into your scalp. The elixir will help you groom your hair, detangle it and permit you to comb or brush your hair until it remains the way you want it. You can also towel dry your hair to remove excess oil that is dissolved by the scalp elixir.

If your hair is very dry or hard to manage, I recommend getting my “Herbal Coconut Oil for Hair.” Just apply a small amount on your hair and it will have a nice shine and be very manageable without being too oily. You can also use this herbal coconut oil before a shampoo to lesson the effect of alkaline shampoos stripping your hair of necessary oils.
